President Mahinda Rajapaksa stressed today that all the citizens born in this land should enjoy equal rights.

Stressing the government’s commitment to mete out equal justice to the village, the city, and the estate community, the president pointed out that development has been equally taking place throughout the country.

The President expressed these views during a ceremony to mark Thaipongal festival held at the President’s House today.
