Indian Customs sleuths have detected 4 cases of smuggling at the international airport and confiscated gold valued at about 30 million rupees.

A family of four from Sri Lanka - Ahamed Alawudeen, his wife and their daughters - were intercepted on suspicion when they arrived from Colombo.

The four were found wearing gold jewellery worth 30.30 million rupees that they had not declared.
