The National Transport Commission has decided to conduct a joint survey to amend the national bus fare policy.

Chairman of the NTC Roshan Gunawardana stated that all government institutions will be involved in this survey.

Accordingly the National Transport Commission, Railways Department, SLTB and Officials of provincial transport authorities will be involved in the research.

Although the Ministry of Private Transportation was planning on implementing the joint tables with effect from the 15th, it was delayed due to the objections raised by SLTB unions.
