Airforce to fight Muthurajawela fire

The Airforce says that it has deployed a Bell-212 helicopter to douse the fire currently spreading in the wetland areas of Pubudugama in Muthurajawela.

Airforce Media Spokesman Air Commodore Andrew Wijesuriya stated that the Bel-212 is carrying 900 liters of water in a Bambi bucket in order to douse the fire.

Forest fire destroyed over 12 acres of the Muthurajawela wetland in the last few days.
