Australian parliamentary delegation encouraged by Sri Lanka's progress.
An Australian parliamentary delegation visiting Sri Lanka said the transformation in the island nation undergone after the end of the war is "highly impressive" and they were greatly encouraged by the progress seen throughout the island.
The parliamentary delegation from Australia's State of Victoria said Australia will always offer bipartisan support to Sri Lanka when they met President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday at Temple Trees.
Meanwhile President Mahinda Rajapaksa participated at the Hambanthota District Chamber of Commerce anniversary celebration yesterday.
On this occasion the President said that the Sri Lankan Government always respected human rights.
On this occasion the President also said that some did not like Sri Lanka to become a powerful country in Asia.
