Investigations to the alleged abduction of a paramour by his female police inspector in Kadawatha have been put under the direction of an ASP.

A woman complained to Peliyagoda police that on last Tuesday night that a female police inspector broke into her home in Kadawatha, assaulted her child and abducted the husband.

Police initiated investigations following the complaint and found that the female police inspector and the abducted person have had an illicit love affair.

At the same time, a senior police officer in charge of Peliyagoda Division said that police have received information the alleged man had got into the female police inspector’s car on his own.

It is revealed that the allegedly abducted man has been released, but he has not yet returned home.

When our news team contacted Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana, he said that no sufficient evidence have been found to prove an abduction.

However he said that investigations to the alleged abduction are being carried out under the direction of an ASP.
