Nurse's officers association objects midwifery training committee.
The Government Nursing Officers’ Association refuses to accept the committee appointed by the Health Ministry to take a decision regarding the midwifery training for the nursing officers.
Speaking to a media briefing held in Colombo today, the chairman of the association Saman Ratnapriya said the Health Ministry did not inform their association regarding the appointment of the committee.
However, when inquired from the Government Midwife Services Association, its secretary Devika Kodituwakku said they are ready to accept the committee.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Health Minister Lalith Dissanayake told our news team that all factions should support the committee instead of protesting against them.
