The JHU challenged the Northern Provincial Council Chief Minister today to bring a resolution for the democratic Tamil leaders who were assassinated by the LTTE in the Northern Provincial Council and build a monument to remember them.
Expressing the party views on 12 resolutions passed on the 27th of last month in the Northern Provincial Council, the JHU has posed this challenge.
One of the 12 resolutions is a proposal to build a monument for the people allegedly died at Wella Mulla Waikkal.
In its communiqué, the JHU also charged Northern Provincial Council Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran as he has made no statement about the democratic leaders and moderate youth who were eliminated by the LTTE.
The JHU’s opinion on the 12 resolutions is however that they have violated the country’s Constitution.
