Election Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya says that religious symbols and national flag should not be used in election propaganda.

Speaking to our news team the Election Commissioner said that the use of army uniform too was banned in election propaganda.

Meanwhile PAFFEREL has made a request to the election commissioner with regard to a free and fair election.

Speaking to our news team PAFFEREL Executive Director Rohana Hettiarachchi said that if Government officials were engaged in provincial council election related political activities, steps should be taken to blacklist them.
