The JVP states that it will seek the assistance of the Supreme Court after an inquiry in to a petition filed against the chairman of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption former Supreme Court Judge Jagath Balapatabandi was found to be biased.

JVP parliamentarian Sunil Handuneththi today arrived at the commission for the 3rd time to inquire regarding media reports that the petition was put aside without an inquiry.

The complaint lodged by the JVP stated that the chairman of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption had committed fraudulent acts during his tenure as a Supreme Court judge.
