Indian aid for Sri Lanka increased.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has allocated 50 million Indian Rupees for 2014 to 2015 for the Sri Lanka’s development, which is an increase compared last year.

In the Union Budget, Finance Minister P Chidambaram allocated a total of Rupees 8,335 crore to the External Affairs Ministry for economic cooperation and advances to foreign governments as against Rupees 7038 crore last year.

The budgetary aid to Bangladesh has been slashed to Rupees 350 crore from last year's Rupees 580 crore.

Aid to African countries has also been expanded from Rupees 250 crore last time to Rupees 350 crore in the current budget.
