It was reported today that Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe is also included in the Sri Lankan delegation to the Geneva UN Human Rights sessions to be held on the 3rd of next March.

When our news team contacted President’s spokesman Mohan Samaranayake confirmed the participation by Minister Samarasinghe in the Geneva delegation led by External Affairs Minister G.L. Peries.

Minister G.L. Peries is scheduled to address the sessions on the 5th of March while UN Human Rights Commissioner Navaneedan Pillai is scheduled to address the sessions on the 3rd of March.

Later on the 26th of March, Pillai will present her report of the findings on Sri Lanka’s alleged war crimes.
