The government dedicate itself to safeguard all religions; says President
President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that the Government dedicates itself to safeguard all religions without any discrimination.
Participating at a function held at the Kaeaeragala Padmaawathi Pirivena yesterday, the President said that just as the Government takes action to protect the Buddhist Dispensation, it respects other religions as well.
Although some political parties drew a wrong picture in front of the world, the President pointed out on this occasion that the Government regarded all races equally paying due respect to all.
On this occasion the President said that Sri Lanka had inherited a great culture because of the insight of the Sangha in the past.
The President said that our children should use new technology with an understanding about pros and cons and parents too should be vigilant about the children.
