The meteorology department says that rain could be expected during the second week of March thus ending the prevalent dry weather.

The department points out that thunder showers could take place during that period.

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board said that it had become difficult to supply pipe water with the same pressure.

However NWSDB Working Director Ranjith Balasuriya said that action would be taken to supply water without interruption.

It has been planned to distribute water through bowsers to areas where there is water scarcity currently.
