The Ministry of Health stated that there is a risk of Dengue spreading in 30 Health divisions in 10 districts although dry weather persists.

5,000 dengue cases have been reported thus far this year and 10 deaths have also been reported.

In comparison to last year, the number of dengue patients has seen an increase of 25 percent.

Colombo, Moratuwa, Dehiwala, Mounth Lavinia, Kaduwela, Kolonnawa and Piliyandala have been identified as high risk areas.
