Gampaha Bandaranaike Vidyalaya which closed indefinitely after students protest on Monday was re-opened today amid police protection.

School Principal D.M.L.P. Dissanayake told our news team that classes for only Year 6, Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9 students started this morning.

He also said Year 10 and Year 11 will start next Wednesday while all Advanced Level classes are schedule to be re-opened on next Monday.

Charges were levelled against several school teachers for arousing students to launch a protest against their principal.
