Foreign forces cannot change governments; people are with us; says President.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that many local and foreign forces were taking action to change the Government thus preventing the country’s journey towards progress.
Participating at a people’s rally held at the Ratmalana Railway stadium yesterday, the President pointed out no force could change the Government as long as the people are with it.
The President also attested that the Government was not prepared in any way to bow down to forces that destroy the country thus betraying the freedom that had been won.
A massive development is taking place in this country for the reconstruction of the social life of people of the North and East, destroyed by terrorism and in a manner the people of the country are benefited.
Because terrorism has been eradicated, child soldiers, to whose hands fire arms had been given, are receiving school education along with the other children of the country today.
On this occasion President Mahinda Rajapaksa pointed out that some people are accusing the Government to fulfill their narrow objectives without talking about any of these development activities.
