An individual has died following a clash that took place during the 50 over match between Jaffna College and St. Patrick’s College, Jaffna.

The match was being played at the Wadukotte Grounds and the deceased has been identified as a 23 year old, former student of St. Patrick’s College, Jaffna.

Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana stated that two students have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Meanwhile, a tense situation has arisen during the big match played between Jaffna Central College and St. John’s College.

Owing to the tense situation the authorities of both schools decided to call the match off.
