External Affairs Minister Professor G L Peiris and Channel 4 television, yesterday exchanged views at a press briefing, on the controversial war video on Sri Lanka aired by the British TV channel.

Speaking at a press briefing in London Minister Peiris said there were grounds to say the video is fake and said that it was politically motivated.

Taking part in the press conference, the Secretary General of the Commonwealth Kamalesh Sharma stated that no country can be given a finite time period to build reconciliation following a conflict.

Elaborating further he stated that he rejects claims that the Commonwealth is non active with regard to the issues in Sri Lanka.
