Hydro electricity generation decreases from 85 percent to 15 percent

Coinciding with the dry weather condition that has affected the country, hydro-electricity Production activities also have been hindered.

CEB Media spokesman Deputy GM Senujith Dasanayake told our news team that hydro-electricity production had decreased from 85 per cent to 15 per cent.

However he said that people would be provided electricity without interruption through Thermal power plants incurring high cost.
