Video: China condemns using Human rights as a weapon to pressurise Sri lanka.
Deputy Head of Mission of the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lankna Ren Faqiang stressed that his country is ready to appear for Sri Lanka when the Anti Sri Lankan draft resolution is brought before the UN Human Rights Commission at the end of this month.
He said that China does not see any incident of human rights violation in the country after Sri Lanka ended nearly a three decade era of terrorism.
Deputy Head of Mission of the Chinese Embassy Ren Faqiang further said that Chinese government objects the attempt to use human rights to bring pressure on Sri Lanka.
The Chinese Deputy Head of Mission expressed his views during a ceremony presided by President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Mulatiyana in Matara today.
He said that the main factor to protect human rights is the defeat of terrorism and to bring about peace in the country.
