Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa In a letter to Prime Minister Man Mohan Singhe said the second round of talks between the Indian and Sri Lankan fishermen can be held on March 25th only if all the arrested Indian fishermen and their boats are released before that date.

Citing the arrest of 74 Indian fishermen belonging to the state and Puducherry by the Sri Lankan Navy yesterday she said it is an extremely unfortunate episode.

The first round of talks between Indian and Sri Lankan fishermen was held here in January.

The second round is slated to be held in Colombo.

Meanwhile, Indo Sri lanka fishermen federation Chairman T Devdas and advisor to the Fisheries Ministry S P Anthony muththu held a telephone discussion this morning.

S P Anthony muththu speaking to our news team stated that he invited T Devdas to join the discussions to be held in Sri Lanka.
