TNA dissatisfied with India's decision.
The Tamil National Alliance states that it is disappointed at the decision taken by India to abstain from voting regarding the US resolution against Sri Lanka which was presented at the UN Human Rights Council Session in Geneva.
TNA Parliamentarian R. Sambandan stated that the time has come for India to act responsibly as the regional powerhouse.
A condition from the UNP to support the government
Meanwhile, during a press conference held today in Colombo the UNP stated that it is willing to support the government in international issues if the government is willing to change its courses of action.
Its Government’s fault; says JVP
The JVP states that the resolution that was presented against Sri Lanka during the current UNHRC session was passed due to the fault of the government.
However, the Chairman of the National Rights Association Ven. Bengamuwe Nalaka Thero expressed his gratitude towards those countries that voted for Sri Lanka during the UNHRC session.
