The Western and Southern Provincial Council elections got underway at 7AM today and will go on till 4PM at 4253 polling centres.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa cast his vote at the D A Rajapaksa Vidyalaya in Hambantota this morning.

155 representatives will be elected for the 2 provinces.
