Election observers stated that no post election violence incidents have been reported so far.

They also stressed that it is the responsibility of all political parties to maintain peace in coming days as well.

PAFFREL Executive Director Rohana Hetti Aarachchi further described the need of peace during the coming days.

At the same time, Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said that police protection will be beefed up further during the post election period in order to protect law and order in the poll areas.
