Serial numbers of 1000 rupees cash notes which were robbed by four masked men from a private bank at 881 of Liyanegemulla in Seeduwa recently have been revealed.

Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana told our news team that the 1000 rupees cash notes bear serial numbers from G/239037451 to 239037500.

The robbers have reached the bank by a motor vehicle and escaped with 1.4 million rupees early this morning.

Police also said that the bank manager who was attacked by a sharp weapon is receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.

A Commercial Bank at Liyanagemulle in Seeduwa burgled - Serial Numbers of robbed cash notes revealed

According to Beli-atta Police, a group of persons have fired gunshots at a UPFA supporter’s residence in Karambaketiya, Beliatta last night

No one was injured at the time of the incident.

The residence which was attacked belongs to a supporter of D.V. Upul who obtained the highest number of preferential votes from Hambantota District.

Police disclose numbers of robbed Cash Notes

Serial numbers of 1000 rupees cash notes which were robbed by four masked men from a private bank at 18 Mile Post in Seeduwa recently have been revealed.

Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana told our news team that the 1000 rupees cash notes bear serial numbers from G/239037451 to 239037500.

The robbers have reached the bank by a motor vehicle and run away with 50 thousand rupees cash notes early this morning.
