Teams searching for the missing Malaysia Airlines plane have reacquired signals that could be consistent with "black box" flight recorders.

The Australian official leading the search said that Australian vessel Ocean Shield heard the signals again last afternoon and evening, and the work was continuing to refine the search area before a submersible could be sent down.

Flight MH370 disappeared on 8th March, carrying 239 people.

It was travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing when it lost contact with air traffic controllers.
