A proposal has been presented to Muslim MPs asking them to boycott parliament for one month in protest of certain problems faced by the Muslim community.

This proposal was made during a meeting between a group of Muslim MPs and the representatives of the All Ceylon Muslim Journalists Association held in Maradana last Monday.

However a senior spokesman of the All Ceylon Muslim Journalists Association said that a final decision has not yet been taken with regard to this proposal.

Meanwhile a similar proposal was made to the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress during the recently concluded Western and Southern Provincial Council elections.
