Reduced fee for vehicles plying on Expressways

On account of the Sinhala and Hindu New Year on a directive from President Mahinda Rajapaksa the Ministry of Ports, Highways and Shipping will implement a reduced rates scheme for vehicles plying on the Southern Expressway, the Colombo-Katunayake Highway and the Outer Circular Highway for two weeks effective from last midnight to April 25th.


The Road Development Authority said that a reduced fee of 200 rupees will be charged from Colombo to Katunayake, 400 rupees from Matara to Kaduwela, 350 rupees from Kottawa to Matara and 300 rupees from Kottawa to Galle.
