Interpol issues red notice on 40 LTTE activists: Video
Police media spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana stated that they have obtained the Red Notice from Interpol in order to arrest 40 LTTE suspects involved in terrorist activities.
Expressing his views regarding the matter while addressing a media briefing convened at the Headquarters this afternoon, he stated that Interpol has issued Red Notices to arrest 96 suspects involved in various crimes apart from the 40 LTTE suspects.
Police media spokesman further stated that the Terrorist Investigations Division has arrested 44 persons since 5th of March who were allegedly involved in terrorist activities.
SSP Ajith Rohana elaborated on the development of investigations concerning the two complaints lodged against Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Venerable Galagoda-aththe Gnaana-saara Thera.
The Police media spokesperson stated that the inquiries regarding these two incidents which were being handled by the Slave Island Police were handed over to the Colombo Crimes Division.
