Modi pledges to solve Indo - Sri lanka fisheries issue.
BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi wooed the fisherfolk in the Ramanathapruam district of Tamil Nadu with a promise that he would do everything for their welfare and to protect the Indian fishermen.
Addressing a public meeting, Modi said fishermen in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu face many difficulties.
He blamed the Centre for the continuing attacks on Indian fishermen by the navies of the neighbouring countries.
He said the 'weak Indian government at the Centre' failed to protect fishermen in the country.
Modi said the BJP-led coalition would emerge as an alternative to both the DMK and the AIADMK in Tamil Nadu.
