Another complaint from Watareka Wijitha Thero; Bodhu Bala Sena denies allegation
Jathika Bala Sena General Secretary Watareka Vijitha Thera says that a certain group of the Bodu Bala Sena Organization had threatened a resident monk of his temple in Mahiyanganaya.
The group had arrived at the temple in Rotawewa, Maha Oya this morning in seven vehicles.
Watareka Vijitha Thera told our news team that he made a complaint to the Police with regard to the incident after he received the details from the resident monk via phone.
Our news team contacted Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagoda-aththe Gnanasara Thera to comment on the incident, and in response he stated that the individual who threatened Watareka Vijitha Thero was not a member of Bodu Bala Sena.
Bodu Bala Sena representatives recently stormed a media conference organized by the Jathika Bala Sena Organization alleging that Watareka Vijitha Thera of the Jathika Bala Sena had made a statement against Buddhism.
Later a tense situation erupted during the media conference and Gnanasara Thera later made a statement to the Slave Island police regarding the incident.
Watareka Vijitha Thera also apologized if his statement had harmed Buddhism.
