The Education Ministry says that an investigation will be held about some private schools not beginning the second term yesterday.

Issuing a communiqué the Ministry had said that all the schools of the country including those in the north and east should have begun the second term yesterday.

However parents of many State-aided and non-aided private schools have complained to Education Minister Bandula Gunawardhana that these schools did not begin the second term yesterday.

Accordingly the Ministry said further that investigations would be held as to whether private schools do not heed Education Ministry circulars.
