An assurance from Wildlife Minister for removal of Wilpattu tents on receipt of Court orders : Video
Minister Rishaad Badiudeen organized a media tour yesterday to brief the media about the controversial charge that Muslim colonies are created in the Wilpattu Forest Park.
On this occasion the Minister said that the 73 Muslim families alleged to be residing in the Wilpattu Forest Park were living in their traditional villages.
While the Minister toured the Wilpattu Forest Park and the relevant village along with the journalists, he expressed his views after the tour as follows:
Meanwhile journalists inquired from Wildlife Resources Conservation Minister Vijith Vijayamuni Soysa about this at a media briefing held in Colombo yesterday.
The Minister said that even by now legal action had been taken about this.
However participating at a media briefing held in Colombo yesterday Bodu Bala Senaa General Secretary Venerable GalagodaAttey Gnaanasaara Thero charged that Minister Rishaad Badiudeen was linked to a Muslim extremist organisation.
