President Mahinda Rajapaksa said that a decision has been taken to set a special unit to investigate religious complaints under the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Addressing heads of media during a meeting at Temple Trees this morning, the new unit will be set up next Monday under the supervision of a DIG.

The President also stated that no individuals will be allowed to take the law into their hand purposely.

He also said that he expect to discuss the matter with all religious leaders of different denominations.

Meanwhile the President said that the government has not allowed Casinos to be opened anew.

He stressed that Casino has not been permitted in the proposed Crown hotel complex and it has also been granted incentives similar to that of other hotel projects in the country.
