The Norway Government has drawn its attention on the red notice issued through the Interpol for arresting a former LTTE leader Perin-panayagam Sivaparan charged with attempting to revive the LTTE in Sri Lanka.

The Norway Government has stated that it was prepared discuss about it with the Sri Lankan Government.

Reports say that Norway Foreign Ministry Secretary Mortan Hogland had stated so to a Norwegian Radio Service.

The Norway Foreign Ministry will first discuss about it with the Sri Lankan Ambassador in Norway.

Although it is not reported that Nediyan is currently not in the Norwegian kingdom, he was arrested in Oslo in 2011.

That was to inquire about collecting funds for the LTTE from the Tamil community in Norway.

Although he was bailed out subject to conditions, he had not report again to the Norway police.

It is believed that in addition to Nediyan, several LTTE cadres for whom Interpol red notice has been issued, reside in Norway.
