The Sri Lankan Foreign Employment Bureau states that it is maintaining a constant vigil regarding the Sri Lankans employed in the Middle East due to the MERS Corona Virus that is spreading through Middle Eastern countries including Saudi Arabia.

The bureau stated that it has taken steps to provide all those who are travelling to the Middle East with face masks and the bureau has obtained 50,000 masks in this regard.

Spokesperson for the Sri Lankan Foreign Employment Bureau stated that facilities have been provided for those who are returning to obtain medical assistance by presenting their passport in case they suspect that they have contracted the disease.
