A group of Muslim MP's submits a letter to President

A group of Muslim parliamentarians have submitted a letter to President Mahinda Rajapaksa requesting him to intervene concerning the harassments caused towards Muslims from various organizations.

The letter contains 16 signatures out of the 18 Muslim parliamentarians.

However, the letter was not signed by MPs A.H.M. Aswer and Abdel Kader.

The letter was signed by government Ministers including A.H.M. Fowzie, Rauf Hakeem, A.L.M Athaullah, Rishard Badiudeen, and Deputy Ministers Faizer Musthafa and M.L.A.M  Hisbullah.

In addition, UNP Chairman MP Kabeer Hasheem has also signed the letter.
