Interdicted railway workers are questioned: Engine drivers association in a special discussion.
The 4-person committee which was appointed by the Transport Minister convened for the first time today to conduct an inquiry on Pothuhera train accident.
The committee meeting was chaired by Railway Deputy Transport Superintendent Gamini Seneviratne.
According to the Deputy Transport Superintendent, the participants of the meeting included the alleged Engine Drivers and Engine Driver Assistants, Railway Guard and the Station Master of Pothuhera Railway Station as well as the Signal-man.
Meanwhile, Railway Engine Drivers’ Association is currently holding a special meeting in Colombo.
Expressing his views to our news team, a member of the Association Engine Driver R.D. Dassanayake stated that they will discuss the presumptions made by railway authorities.
