Indian Authorities suspect arrested Sri lankan involved in Chennai train attack.
Indian Media reported today that Tamil Nadu authorities are investigating whether the Sri Lankan national Mohammed Shakeer Hussain who was arrested recently is involved in the attack on a train in Chennai.
One passenger died and 18 others injured in Chennai yesterday when a bomb exploded in a Bangalore bound train.
Tamil Nadu police arrested Mohammed Shakeer Hussain, a resident of Kandy, a few days ago alleging that he has links to Pakistani Intelligence Service ISA.
However Pakistan High Commission in Colombo named the incident as another ‘Indian Media Show’.
Two other suspects have been arrested in connection with yesterday’s Chennai bomb incident, and Tamil Nadu authorities have turned their attention towards Mohammed Hussain as the attack has similarities of attacks by Islamic Jihadi groups who use RDX explosives and AK-47 weapons.
Extremist groups operating within Tamil Nadu are using locally made bombs in their attacks, and sleuths are investigating whether Mohammed Shakeer Hussain has any connection to the yesterday’s bomb attack on the Bangalore bound train.
