Nurses strike continues; one union to call off the strike tomorrow : Video
Government services united nurses union states that they will call off the trade union action tomorrow.
Chairman of the union Muruththetuwe Ananda thero states that they trust the committee appointed under the patronage of secretary to the finance Ministry to solve the midwifery issue.
However, the government nurses union and the All island nurses union states that they will continue the strike tomorrow as well.
Chairman of the government nurses union Saman Rathnapriya states that they are not satisfied with the solutions provided by the authority.
During a media briefing organised by the All island nurses union, its national organiser S B Madiwaththa challenged the opponents to come for a debate regarding midwifery training.
