Do not engage in harmful activities for religious harmony - Court warns Bodu Bala Sena and Jathika Bala Sena : Video
Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage warned the Bodu Bala Sena and the Jathika Bala Sena Organizations not to engage in harmful actions to the religious harmony in the country.
The Magistrate warned the two groups when a case against Bodu Bala Sena members including its General Secretary was taken for hearing today.
The case was filed against Bodu Bala Sena for allegedly entering a hotel forcefully in Slave Island a few weeks ago and disrupting a media briefing organized by the Jathika Bala Sena and speaking sacrilegious manner about the holy Koran.
The Magistrate released four monks including Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera and two persons on personal bail amounting to one hundred thousand rupees each today.
The Magistrate also ordered to issue summons on two monks who failed to appear before the court today, and adjourned the case till June 9th.
