Another stage of Daham Saviya held under the patronage of MP R Duminda Silva-Video

Yet another phase of the Dahamsaviya programme of reviving shrines of all religions under a concept of Colombo District MP R. Duminda Silva was implemented yesterday on the Vesak Full Moon Poya day.

Under this programme financial assistance is given for developing Buddhist Temples, Catholic churches, Hindu Temples and Muslim Mosques.

The first phase of yesterday’s Dahamsaviya programme began from the Kolonnawa Saalamulla Wijeyabodhi Buddhist Temple.

Colombo District MP R. Duminda Silva handed over the financial donation to the Buddhist Temple’s chief incumbent Venerable Banglaadesh Sri Dharma Rakkhita  Thero for the next activities of developing the Buddhist Temple’s monastic building.

Kolonnaawa Saalamulla  Wijeyabodhi Buddhist Temple Chief Incumbent Venerable Banglaadesh Sri Dharma Rakkhita  Thero expressing his views on the occasion said that the MP shall be blessed more for his good deeds.

The other Buddhist Temple where a financial donation was granted  under the Daham Saviya Programme of Reviving All Religious Sites was the

Sri Chandrasekera Aaraamaya situated besides the Maharagama Aananda Maitri Mawatha.

MP R. Dumindha Silva also presented a financial donation to Sri Chandrasekera Aaraamaya chief incumbent Venerable Molamurey Nandaaraama Thero for the next activities of the  construction of the Building for the Dhamma School at the Buddhist Temple .
