Radiocarbon testing report on Kuragala historical site released
The Beta Analytic Institute has sent the radiocarbon testing report on the Balangoda Kuragala historical site to the Archaeological Department.
Kuragala historical site believed to be built between 3rd century BC and first century after Christ.
The Kuragala caves believed to be used as habitats by pre historic-man during that era and a human skeleton was found during the excavation of the site. The skeleton was later sent to Oxford University laboratory for DNA testing.
