JHU's decision on UNP's no confidence motion against the government delayed. NFF, JVP and TNA decision today.
The no-confidence motion against the Government moved in parliament by the UNP is scheduled to be taken up for debate today and tomorrow.
The UNP recently moved this no-confidence motion in parliament signed by 26 MPs against the Government’s failure to prevent the influx of dangerous drugs including narcotics into the country.
A Government affiliated party, JHU had recently expressed various views severely critical of narcotics influx into the country.
However JHU Media spokesman Nishaantha Sri Varnasinghe said that although his party central committee had met last afternoon, it had not been possible to reach a consensus.
He said that accordingly discussions would be held today as well and it would be reveled tomorrow as to whether the JHU would vote for or against the no-confidence motion or adopt any other line of action.
Another Government partner NFF said that it would reveal its stand about the no-confidence motion today.
The JVP and TNA representing the Opposition said that they would meet this forenoon and take a decision about it.
