The voting on the no-confidence motion presented in parliament by the UNP is scheduled to be held this afternoon.

The UNP recently presented in parliament this no-confidence motion signed by 26 MPs  over the Government’s failure to prevent the influx of dangerous drugs including narcotics into the country.

The TNA said that it would vote in favour of the motion.

TNA MP Suresh Premachandra told our news team that the TNA parliamentary group met last afternoon and made this decision.

JVP MP Sunil Handunetti speaking to our news team said the JVP too would vote in favour of the no-confidence motion the UNP had presented in parliament against the Government.

NFF media spokesman former MP Mohamed Musammil said yesterday that the NFF had decided to refrain from voting and not to participate in the debate.
