Tamil Nadu fishermen to meet Narendra Modi

A group of Tamil Nadu fishermen plans to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding Indo – Sri Lanka fisheries issue.

The convener of Indo – Lanka Fisheries Federation S.P. Anthony Muttu stated that the meeting will take place next June.

This will be the first time the newly elected premier Narendra Modi will meet the Tamil Nadu fishermen.

Meanwhile, 14 Sri Lankan fishermen who were recently arrested by Indian Coast Guards have been remanded till the 4th of June.

The alleged group of fishermen who were poaching in Kanya-kumari area, Tamil Nadu are residents of Negambo and Kochchikade.
