Co-operative and Internal Trade Ministry says that action will be taken to reduce  vegetable prices as an increase in vegetable prices is observed compared with the past several months.

It has been revealed that although vegetable prices had increased in the recent past due to the prevalent inclement weather, the current vegetable price increase is a temporary phenomenon.

Minister Johnston Fernando instructed the relevant authorities to prepare a project for providing vegetables to people at a subsidized price.
