UNP General Secretary and several MPs met with IGP N.K. Illangakoon at the Police Headquarters today.

The purpose of the meeting was to inquire into the progress of the investigation regarding the interruption of the tour of UNP MPs at Magampura Port and Mattala airport.

UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake stated that the IGP has stated that measures have been taken to obtain advice from the Attorney General regarding the case.

The MPs who were interrupted during their tour also attended the meeting with the IGP.
