Allied Health exam tomorrow. Students not sitting the exam considered as failed, a statement from Peradeniya VC
Peradeniya University Vice Chancellor Professor Athula Senaratne says that the Allied Health Faculty examinations will begin tomorrow as scheduled.
Addressing a media briefing at the University yesterday the professor said that students not participating in the examination would be considered failed.
The Vice Chancellor also said that he condemned the use of students as cat’s paw for attaining political objectives.
Meanwhile IUSF convener Najith Indika said that the allied health students would not sit the examination beginning tomorrow and that if students were considered as failed, the federation would rise against it.
Meanwhile nursing plenary united federation co-convener Saman Ratnapriya said that his union too supported the fast the students had launched against the limiting of allied health degree to three years.
Convening a media briefing in Colombo yesterday the co-convener said that accordingly a massive protest and a walk would be staged tomorrow.
